Real people about Real Idaho.
It’s Natural Beauty… “It’s Beautiful! All the amazing hot springs, hidden and not. The Canyon. Lots of shopping choices. People are very friendly and helpful!” Jessica B.
Close to Everything… “I love southern Idaho, because it is so close to everything that I love to do. Skiing or snowmobiling in the winter, boating and enjoying our river in the summer, plus we live close enough to metropolitan that I can have a big city experience. I get to enjoy Broadway plays, just a couple short hours away.” Dallas W.
Perfect Size… “Small community but not too small. Great for families. New schools! The Amazing Canyon.” Kim D.
The People… “I enjoy the good natured people, driving down the road and everyone waves like they have known you for years. We get amazing sunsets along with booming thunderstorms that you can see from miles away. I have been able to make a life here that I never would have dreamed of back in my hometown.” CJ L.
Born Here; Here to Stay… “Well, it’s where I was born! But I love the mountains, that the river is within an hour, deer, elk, bear, rattlesnakes, skunks, moose, rock chucks, but most of all family!!!!” Steve G.
Hunting, Fishing… “Great climate, hunting, fishing, and friendly people.” Nedra L.
Whitewater & Wilderness… “Idaho has more whitewater than any other state in the contiguous US. Also the largest road-less wilderness in the lower 48. Two very good reasons to love Idaho!!!” Drew A.
Horse Friendly… “Trail riding areas with lots of horse people and activities.” Suzie R.
Economy… “Agriculture economy based.” Karin H.
Winter, Summer, Spring, Fall. We have it all… “One thing I love about Idaho is that we get all 4 seasons very distinctively, without it being unbearably harsh.
We get to see the Blooming Beauty of Spring, the ideal Water Sports Heat of Summer; the Array of Fall Colors, which includes plenty of leaf cushions for jump landings; and the Sparkling White Winter for hitting the ski slopes. (Hey kids, a couple times you may get out of school for snow days, shhhh, don’t tell your mom and dad).
Weather variations are not always predictable, but when you know how to appreciate the beauty of it, and make it work as a fun time advantage, you may discover the positive wonder of its unpredictability.” T.G.
